Greenwood offers residents and visitors alike a chance to escape to nature along the banks of Duffins Creek. Hiking trails allow you to explore the forest or the steep-sided river valley, and picnic tables are available throughout the area for your use. The park offers some of the best fishing, with the opening of the trout season in the spring. The cold, clear-running creek, is a perfect home for rainbow trout and other species of fish.
In the fall, Greenwood turns bright with the hues of autumn. Scouting/Guiding and youth groups can take advantage of any one of the number of group campsites available throughout the year. School groups are also encouraged to take advantage of the natural environment for educational purposes.
Bring your family for an afternoon picnic or reserve a picnic site for your company or social club. Picnic shelters and seasonal washroom facilities are available. Washrooms are unavailable during permitted functions. Please note: No site rental for a picnic or overnight camping is allowed without a permit (see Permit Fees table below).
