Thanksgiving Monday at Brock Tract - 2014-10-13

Happy Thanksgiving to all you Monday Trekkers!  The Thanksgiving (east) hike saw a group of 24 eager hikers assemble at the Brock Tract in Uxbridge. It is always good to see the holiday Monday group, many of whom are normally at work then, such as Tony, Raymond and Allen with their families.  I was pleased that the rain held off for you, just barely!  The grey skies were threatening but only managed to subdue the fall colours slightly and many photos were taken during the 9km walk. There are so many trails in the Brock Tract that this time I decided to vary our usual route and try some new ones. We were rewarded with several sightings of ruffed grouse , on the wing. The two herds of horses nearby were a welcome addition to the peace of the countryside as well.

After 2.5 hours we headed off for lunch and more shared stories.
